The inspectors

While setting up to shoot some portraits yesterday, the inspectors passed through doing an état des lieux.

As they were standing in my line of fire, we took a couple of photos together. This is number two. After seeing number one, I said let’s do another, parce que j’ai des grosses fesses. Hence, the posture of Aliocha…

I adore these guys. They are good friends, talented artists, inspiring human beings and they make me laugh!

Tonight, layered up and wandering the streets of my old neighborhood, the knots of thoughts in my head run so fast, my feet have to give them space to sort themselves out.

It’s now week three of my informal residency at 59 rue de Rivoli, where I’m working on portraits of the approximately 32 artists working in the “aftersquat.”  I’ve photographed 19, 20 including myself, which I do every day.  Originally just to test the light, it’s evolving into something more.
